Migraine Mack Truck

I got hit by a migraine Mack truck this morning. Was doing fine and then all of a sudden BAM! So much for all my plans. Scraping plans is nothing new of course, after all I am a migrainista. There is one thing I will force myself to do this afternoon: measure.

We have figured out a super cheap way to redo some of our floors and have been waiting for the fake wood, laminate stuff to go on sale. Yesterday I saw some for $0.68/sq ft. Score! I want to get it before it's gone so I need to measure so we can go get it tonight.

Measuring could actually be a challenge in this state and accurate measuring, well we'll see how it goes.

  1. Best of luck. You'll do great-headache or no--You have the Power !~!

We started that route and wound up with a single sheet of Linoleum that we measured, cut and fitted On the First Try. You will have good luck too-I can feel it.
New floors are The Best. We wondered why we had waited so long to Just Do It. I'd love to see before and after pics if you're of a mind to share.

  2. So sorry you are in so much pain :(

Be careful buying cheap laminate. If it's that cheap...well, you get what you pay for. My dad bought the cheap stuff and it's thinner than the good stuff and doesn't last. It buckles and bows, scuffs and scratches easily. It's better to go with a product that costs a couple dollars more per foot, and comes with a guarantee.

  3. As for changing plans... well...blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.
Usually I can only do the next indicated thing, whether high or low migraine levels. Humans have only the illusion that we are planning- but migraineurs know better.
As for measuring, I can relate...dealing with legal definitions of disabled I've tried to define "thinking" as a major life function. I asked my doctor to measure the cognitive impact of migraine, he said it wouldn't show on a normal IQ test. Need new doctor.
I'll comment on the floor piece separately.

  4. Floor comment Watch Out! There are chemicals in building materials and in the adhesive of the building materials that trigger migraines. Were you and I to be friends, and you put in the new floor, I might find it impossible to visit you for a couple of years until the new floor off gassed.
My bedroom is done in bamboo with no glue.
